성남시 야구전용구장은 성남시 야구전용구장 건립공사 설계공모 당선작으로, "SEONGNAM BALL PARK"라는 이름 아래 공공성과 기능성의 조화를 목표로 단계별 개발을 제안한다. 남서향 배치로 경기 관람 조건을 확보하고, 이벤트 광장·커뮤니티 마켓·스카이브릿지 등을 통해 경기가 없는 날에도 시민들이 이용할 수 있는 열린 공간으로 조성했다. 1단계(KBO 규격 구장, 시민개방 공간 조성)와 2단계(관람환경 개선, 지하주차장 조성)로 나누어 재원 여건에 맞는 단계적 실현 가능성을 고려했다.
The Seongnam City Baseball-Only Stadium is the winning entry in the design competition for the Seongnam City baseball-only stadium construction project, proposing a phased development under the name "SEONGNAM BALL PARK" that aims to balance public accessibility with functionality. The south-west-facing orientation secures favorable viewing conditions for games, and features such as an event plaza, a community market, and a sky bridge create an open space that citizens can use even on days without games. The project is divided into Phase 1 (a KBO-standard stadium and the creation of publicly open spaces) and Phase 2 (improvements to spectator facilities and construction of underground parking), allowing for phased implementation aligned with available funding.
